About Sheila

Yorkshire Rose Dog Rescue is searching for an extraordinary home for Sheila—our resilient, 10-month-old pup who was heartbrokenly abandoned and tied up.

Sheila’s journey started in the cruelest way—left completely helpless, abandoned and tied up without a voice. Yet, despite being let down so deeply by humans, this remarkable 10-month-old pup has shown nothing but pure love, resilience, and forgiveness. Because Yorkshire Rose Dog Rescue operates entirely through a dedicated network of foster families rather than traditional kennels, Sheila has been fully assessed in a real home environment. We are delighted to share that she has completely thrived and is fully housetrained!

About Sheila

• The Background: She was found abandoned and tied up, but her past does not define her. She looks forward to every single day with a tail wag.

• Medical Condition: Sheila has neurological issues that give her wobbly back legs. While she has a unique gait, she is surprisingly determined and has no problem navigating stairs on her own!

• Household Manners: She is completely housetrained, clean indoors, and knows exactly how to behave in a home setting.

• Dog Friendly: She absolutely loves other dogs! Having a playful canine companion in the home would be fantastic for her socialization, confidence, and physical development.

Adoption Criteria & The Perfect Match

To ensure our dogs go to the absolute best environment for their specific needs, Yorkshire Rose Dog Rescue applies a few mandatory criteria:

• A Supportive Environment: While she handles stairs well, her wobbly legs benefit greatly from non-slip rugs or runners on hard floors to help her keep her grip.

• Age & Family Requirements: there must be no children under the age of 5 living in the home.

• Resident Pets: If you have another dog, they must be spayed or neutered.

• Time Commitment: As a young pup with extra physical needs, Sheila needs a family where someone is around most of the day; she cannot be left alone regularly for more than 4 hours.

Why Sheila Will Change Your Life

Caring for an abandoned special-needs pup is uniquely rewarding. Sheila offers unmatched loyalty, endless gratitude, and a daily reminder of what true resilience looks like. She doesn’t know she is different—she just knows how to love. Sheila is similar sized to a cocker spaniel for scale.
