About Bolt

Meet the bounciest boy - Bolt! This stunning lad has come into rescue as a stray, meaning we don’t know how his story began. What we do know is that the rest of his story is going to be filled with lots and lots of love!

Bolt is your classic high energy young dog - he’s a pup full of beans! He absolutely loves life, he could walk all day & still want to play when you get home! He’s a very friendly boy and loves a fuss, he’s been super with everyone he’s met so far.

He is a very driven breed and is super smart, but unfortunately he hasn’t had anyone to give him all the training he needs yet. He’s very keen to please and will pick things up well but just needs an experienced owner with lots of time & patience to give him the consistency he needs.

Bolt is super excited about life, he loves going out and about and would be great to live in a rural home (lots of woods and fields for him to explore!). He can sing a little bit at the start of walks (it’s important to tell the world how excited you are!) but very quickly settles down and walks well on lead.

He loves meeting other dogs and might make a really great companion for another dog, he’d be a great match for another medium sized high energy breed. He’s not met a cat before so we aren’t sure how he’d react to one, therefore we’re looking for a cat free home.

Because he came in as a stray Bolt isn’t child tested, ideally he’s looking for an adult only home where he can be given all of the attention he needs while still being able to settle for a bit, though he may be suitable to live with sensible teens. As he is currently in kennels we do not know what he’s like within a home and he may need a little help with his basic training there.

Bolt really just needs an active household who have lots of time to meet his needs, ideally someone with high-energy breed experience, ideally collie experience. He’s just the most lovely dog and will make an incredible companion to the right person!
