Wonky Pets Rescue

Bridget lives with a foster carer, so you meet Bridget after applying, not at the rescue's address.

Bridget is no longer on Wonky Pets Rescue's website. We noticed on 18 October 2026. That usually means they've found a home.

About Bridget

Bridget is around 3-4yrs old and we believe she is a cavapoo, she is now microchipped, spayed, vaccinated, had a scale and polish and a cherry eye repaired. She will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

Bridget was found as a stray in a terrible state, she had a huge matted coat, was full of fleas and suffering with a cherry eye, poor girl had been neglected for a long time and then either dumped or left to stray.

She is such a sweet girl who was a little timid to start with but has blossomed so much since being in foster with us and several other little dogs. She adores the company of other small dogs and 100% needs another playful, small, neutered canine pal in her forever home.

Bridget has a very sweet and loving nature, she loves a fuss and bonds quickly with people who are kind to her. She has been lovely with visiting children but will jump up them for attention so resident children should be dog savvy and aged 5yrs and over.

She can be a bit of a thief if things are left around or on the side within reach and she loves to tear up a bag or letter if she gets the chance.

Bridget is generally a good girl in the home, her house training has been a work in progress but she is getting the hang of it now, she sleeps downstairs quietly at night with the other dogs and is ok being left for a few hours in the daytime.

She will need a home with a nice sized garden to play in, she enjoys walks in a nice quiet rural location but busy environments and traffic worry her a lot so we are seeking a more rural setting for her rather than a town location. She will need a home with someone fit an active enough to provide her with plenty of exercise.

Being fostered in Swadlincote, South Derby's but can be rehomed further afield to the right home subject to home check and adoption donation of £300
