About Ollie

OTHER DOGS: Good with other dogs

CATS: Untested

LIVESTOCK: Untested

A little bit about Ollie : Ollie is a lively, very energetic youngster who didn’t have an off-switch when he first arrived in foster. He has been learning how to settle but still enjoys a play romp with the younger dogs in his foster home. He is a good-natured friendly youngster and likes to jump up on people to say hello.

More about Ollie : Ollie will react to other dogs barking; he probably wants to join in! He thoroughly enjoys his walks in the countryside. He pulls on the lead but walks better with a figure of 8. He has been to the beach and loved that too. It was busy and he met lots of dogs and people but behaved very well. His recall is coming along nicely. He knows all the basic commands. He likes a treat, so this helps with his training.

Ollie sleeps in his crate in the kitchen and goes in if being left for short periods.

Ollie will make a wonderful companion for someone willing to work on his development. He is full of energy and will be a really loving little dog, with lots to learn.

Visiting the vet : Ollie has had his routine health check and is fit and healthy. He is up to date with his vaccinations. He is in beautiful condition.

Behavioural issues : No major issues. Some mild separation anxiety, although this is improving since he’s been in foster.

Home needs : Ollie needs an active, experienced home prepared to invest time and energy in his ongoing training. He would love another youngish dog to play with. Older children only, as he can be “mouthy” and is quite bouncy. He hasn’t lived with children before. He may be fine with a dog-savvy cat once carefully introduced. A secure garden would be ideal.

Ongoing support: Springer Rescue for Scotland will be available for any support with your new dog and can offer behavioural support in case of any problems that may arise on adopting a dog .

Please do not express interest in Ollie if you are going on holiday in the next 8 weeks.
