About Alfie

Our boy Alfie is making lots of progress in his foster home. Alfie is a four years old shy boy but he is slowly coming out of his shell. He is the type of dog that will approach you looking for cuddles when the time is right for him, but might move away when approached. And he is approaching his foster mum for cuddles more and more often. In his foster home he has proven to be a lovely boy and has now got to the stage when he is happy to be on the couch next to his foster mum, provided plenty cushions are on offer 😊 He is very happy at food time, and can even give you a little front leg dance. Loves all food but he is not a counter surfer. He walks very well on the lead and we have noticed that he feels more confident when in the company of other greyhounds. He is good with other large or medium size dogs and so we think being rehomed with a greyhound (or with a large/medium size dog) could be a good thing for him. He is also very good at being left alone – when left alone he will settle quickly and just fall asleep. Alfie is definitely flourishing in his foster home and will require an environment where he can be allowed the time to come out of his shell. Alfie is improving with every passing day and he is now ready to find a home to call his own.
