About Gizmo

Gizmo is a 5-year-old Chihuahua with a huge heart and heaps of charm. He has spent the last month in a foster home where he proved to be a delightful house guest, winning everyone over with his affectionate, cuddly nature.

Gizmo is a gentle soul who takes life in his stride:

Affectionate Companion: Loves cuddles, human companionship, and being close to his people.

Easy to Handle: Very happy to be handled, brushed, and bathed without any fuss.

Social & Well-Mannered: Walks nicely on the lead and gets along well with other dogs both on and off-lead (he has successfully lived alongside another dog in his foster home).

Rural Friendly: Has proven to be calm and respectful around chickens and horses.

Great Traveler: Settles quietly in the car, making trips out and about a breeze.

Independent Enough for Short Stints: Can be comfortably left alone for up to 2 hours.

Gizmo’s Ideal Home & Needs

Gizmo is looking for a patient, understanding home that can give him the routine and security he needs to continue his progress:

Household Dynamic: Gizmo would be happiest in an adult-only home, though a quiet home with gentle, secondary-school-aged children will be considered.

Ongoing Training: He is currently working on his house training and will need a family ready to continue a consistent, positive-reinforcement routine.

Bedtime Routine: He can occasionally be unsettled at night. This has improved significantly with the calm structure of his foster home, but his new family should expect a brief adjustment period while he finds his paws.
