About Peach

Meet Peach: A Sweet Little Firecracker Looking for Her Forever Home!

Energy Level: Medium–High (full of bounce and enthusiasm!). Looking for an experienced brachycephalic home.

Compatibility: Friendly with other dogs but best as an only dog (high-energy play style). Can live with secondary-school-aged children.

Health Needs : Peach has Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome which is a progressive respiratory condition that affects flat-faced dogs . Peach has had surgery to widen her nostrils and has had soft palate surgery to help her breath more easily. Peach is looking for a home that has had Brachycephalic breeds before and understands their needs and health issues. Even though Peach has had this surgery, exercise will still need to be restricted in hot weather. Peach also needs a very specific breed diet.

Personality & Charm

True to her name, Peach is an absolute sweetheart with a lively, joyful personality. At three years old, she has outgrown the puppy stage but has kept every bit of that infectious Frenchie bounce. Whether she is chasing a favorite toy, running around, or settling in for an evening cuddle, Peach brings warmth and laughter wherever she goes.

She loves meeting people and has plenty of affection to share, but her enthusiastic, bouncy nature means she occasionally forgets her own manners. Because she can play like a little bowling ball of joy, she will thrive best in a home with secondary school-aged children that are used to bouncy dogs.

Dog Socialisation

Peach is social and likes other dogs, but she is decidedly full-on in her play style. She approaches canine interactions with 100% enthusiasm, which some dogs love and others find overwhelming. Due to her dog intensity, we feel Peach would be best suited as the only dog in the home.

Health & Ideal Home Requirements

Peach needs her own private, enclosed and secure garden where she can enjoy off lead play time.

Because of Peach’s breed-specific needs, we are looking for a brachycephalic experienced home that understands the daily care, exercise management, and temperature sensitivities of flat-faced breeds. Peach is a very active girl but needs an adopter that understands her limits.

Peach has already undergone BOAS surgery (soft palate resection and nostril widening), which has greatly improved her breathing and quality of life. Her new family will need to understand how to keep her safe in warm weather and monitor her breathing during active play. Peach is maintained on a specific breed diet to keep her digestion, skin, and weight in tip-top shape. Her new adopter will need to keep this routine in place.

Peach is a fantastic, loving companion who will make an incredible addition to a home that understands and loves the quirks of French Bulldogs.
