About Bear
Meet Bear! 🐾
Bear came to us when his previous owners found his high energy a bit too much to handle, but beneath all that enthusiasm is a total sweetheart looking for a fresh start. He is an excitable, fun-loving boy who adores interacting with people. For Bear, play is a team sport—he’s only interested in toys if you’re playing too, so he’s looking for owners who love being involved and guiding him as he learns about the world.
Bear’s Dream Home:
A Dedicated Companion: He can be prone to separation anxiety, so he needs a home where someone is around most of the day.
Only Dog: Bear needs to be the only dog in the household so he can have all your attention while working on his confidence and dog manners.
Other Pets: He could potentially live with a bold cat who won't be intimidated by his high energy.
Family Life: Bear can potentially live with children aged 12 and over who can handle his bouncy, energetic nature.
Gradual Car Trainer: He is currently worried by the car, so his new owners will need to work on slowly building up his confidence with getting into and travelling in the car.
Sensible Dog Training: Bear can be vocal when he sees other dogs. He doesn't mean any harm—he just gets overwhelmed and isn't quite sure how to react. He will do best walking in quieter areas away from busy dog spots while continuing sensible, structured socialization.
The Essentials: A huge garden to burn off energy, a super cozy bed to crash in afterward, and someone to give him all the love in the world.
If you have the time, patience, and heart to help this bouncy boy thrive, Bear will reward you with endless affection!
