Sweep is a 6‑year‑old neutered male Border Collie with a gentle nature, a big heart, and a real eagerness to bond with his people. He has settled beautifully in foster and shown himself to be affectionate, toy‑mad, food‑motivated, and keen to please.

He enjoys being brushed, loves water (even if baths aren’t his favourite), travels well, and is perfectly housetrained. Sweep sleeps happily downstairs, copes with short periods alone, and has adapted impressively after a big life upheaval.

Sweep can be sensitive with strangers, especially if approached directly or given strong eye contact. He may nip if he feels overwhelmed, particularly when on lead. Once he trusts you, he is a sweetheart—gentle, loving, and responsive. He thrives with calm handling and clear guidance.

On walks he is generally good, though busy traffic can worry him. Around other dogs he may react on lead but is neutral off lead. His recall needs further work, but his toy drive and love of food make him very trainable.

Sweep is not crate‑trained and would need careful counter‑conditioning if a crate is required. He can demand‑bark when excited or unsure how to express himself, but with continued support and structure this should improve.

Sweep will flourish with an adopter who understands Collie sensitivity, enjoys training, and can offer companionship, routine, and reassurance. In return, he will give loyalty, fun, and a deeply rewarding bond.
