About Bear
People – Bear is a friendly and social lad, he can sometimes be a little nervous with new people but this is soon overcome, he is a little more reticent than his brother Benjamin
Can I live with children – He is a full on pup who has lacked initial training and socialisation, any children will need to be 12 + and used to bouncy dogs and big enough not to be knocked over when he has the zoomies
Can I live with other dogs –He needs to be homed with a resident dog to help build his confidence and to provide a positive role model for him
Can I live with cats – Bear could be rehomed with a dog savvy, confident cat
Health – There are no known health issues
Out and about – He is learning all about life outside of the home, he is not yet fully vaccinated so outside interactions are limited. His exposure to all things new will be ongoing in his new home. He travels well in the car although is excited and must be secured. Bear can be nervous of unexpected sights or sounds but does look to his handler for guidance when unsure. Lead training is a work in progress
In the home – He is a pup and so housetraining is a work in progress, this will continue in his new home but he is making good progress. He is confident with all household sights and sounds, welcoming of visitors, he is calmer and can be initially a little shy of visitors to the home, he is making good progress though with positive exposure
Type of home – Bear would like his new owners to have the time to continue his training and exposure to all things new and exciting. Its important that his introductions are positive to ensure he grows in confidence and develops into a well rounded, social adult. A secure garden is a must as is potential owners who are around for a good part of the day
Bear has had his 1st vaccination been microchipped and up to date with flea and worming treatments. He will need to be neutered at the correct time as part of his Adoption Agreement (reduced cost neutering is available at our vets on request)
Potential adopters will be expected to travel to Woodley Berks to meet Bear
