Patti

About Patti

People – Pats is a friendly little soul who loves everyone, she is a social girl who enjoys attention

Can I live with children – She tiny and vulnerable due to her amputation, older teenagers who understand the need for care around her would be fine

Can I live with other dogs –Pats needs to be rehomed with another dog, she will struggle as an only dog and would adore another Dachs as her companion

Can I live with cats – She is fine to be rehomed with a feline friend or 2

Health – There are no known health issues – Following her amputation there are no other needs. Care must be taken to preserve her remaining fore leg and to ensure to remains slim

Out and about – She is not yet fully vaccinated due to having surgery, she will need to be exposed to all things new and exciting in a positive manner to ensure she grows into a confident and social adult dog. Care will need to be taken to ensure she does not overwork her remaining leg when exercising

In the home – Pats is a typical Dachs pup, its raining, this means a battle to get her outside for the toilet! Those that know the breed will understand this struggle, its real! she is confident with all household sights and sounds and is happy to greet visitors to the home

Type of home – She will need new owners who are around for most of the day, the time and patience to continue her training and an understanding of what she needs to protect her remaining leg. This will likely mean shorter walks more often or the use of a dog buggy to allow her to go further afield and for longer jaunts. Hydrotherapy, massage and joint supplements would also be beneficial for her. Decent insurance is a must for Dachs but is especially important for Patti

Patti has had her 1st vaccination and is microchipped and up to date with flea and worming treatments. She will need to be neutered at the correct time as part of her Adoption Agreement (reduced cost neutering is available at our vets on request)

Potential adopters will be expected to travel to Aldershot Hants to meet Patti
