About Raven
People – Raven is a people magnet, where her human is she will be. She can be a little nervous initially but soon settles and quickly becomes a velcro dog with her people
Can I live with children – We have a limited history for her so would advise older children or occasional visiting grandchildren with adequate supervision
Can I live with other dogs – Raven can be rehomed with another similar sized resident dog, they will need to be laid back as she can be a little pushy, she loves to play but can be guardy around food – Only with the other dogs. She has the potential to be rehomed as a single dog provided that she has lots of human interaction and is not left for prolonged periods
Can I live with cats – Raven is fine to be rehomed with cats, she is social and accepting of her feline friends
Health – Raven has had a couple of seizures whilst in foster, these were in quick succession, she has since been seen by our vets, had an MOT and a full blood profile. This has all proved to be fine and nothing abnormal detected. We will be happy to discuss this with suitable applicants
Out and about – She enjoys her walks and has made good progress in foster, she can still be a little nervous but looks to her handler for guidance and reassurance. She travels well in the car, she is settled and calm. Raven can be nervous of unexpected sights and sounds but looks to her handler for reassurance and soon recovers
In the home – She has adjusted well in foster, she loves people and is happiest curled up on a lap or next to you, she can be a little shy initially with visitors to the home. She settles quickly and enjoys a fuss. She is clean in the house and not destructed when left
Type of home – Raven will benefit from owners with the time to bring her on and who can continue build her confidence, another confident and social Dachshund would be great but not necessarily essential. Her new owners will need to be around for a good part of the day and know and understand Dachshunds
Raven has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatments. She has also had her teeth scaled and polished
Potential adopters will be expected to travel to Aldershot Hants to meet Raven
