🐾 Meet Pele – Our Wonderful Golden Oldie 💛

If ever there was a dog who could make you smile just by looking at him, it's Pele! At around 12 years young, this gorgeous boy has the happiest, funniest face and a personality to match. And if there's one thing Pele loves more than anything in the world, it's TOYS! 🧸🐻

Life hasn't always been kind to Pele. A former stray, he spent the last four years confined to a room without natural light, in terrible conditions. But you certainly wouldn't know it from his enthusiasm for life today. He's making up for lost time, and it's an absolute joy to watch!

💛 His Personality

Pele is one of those dogs you just can't help falling in love with. He's funny, happy, wonderfully independent and very much his own little man!

His greatest passion? Collecting toys! From the moment he discovered our toy box, he was hooked. You'll often find him rummaging around, choosing his next treasure and proudly taking his favourites off to bed. We suspect his dream home might involve a toy shop! 🧸❤️

He loves people and enjoys a bit of fuss, especially a good bum scratch, but he's equally happy doing his own thing. He's not one to demand constant attention; he's far too busy enjoying life!

And honestly, that face! His happy expressions and funny little ways are guaranteed to brighten your day.

🐕 Walks & Other Dogs

Don't let his age fool you. Pele still has plenty of get-up-and-go and absolutely loves his walks!

He's happy joining group walks with other dogs, although he prefers his canine friends not to get too close for comfort, particularly unfamiliar dogs running up off lead. A little personal space and he's perfectly happy enjoying his adventures.

One little preference worth knowing: Pele isn't a fan of harnesses, so he's happiest walking with a collar attachment or slip lead.

🧠 A Wonderful New Chapter

After everything Pele has been through, seeing him so happy is something really special. And now we'd love to give him the one thing he's been missing: a home of his very own.

Somewhere he can enjoy his walks, potter about to his heart's content, collect an outrageous number of toys and spend his golden years being thoroughly loved. 🧸🐾

Because Pele might be 12, but as far as he's concerned, life is just getting started! 💛

Pele deserves a happy, loving home where he can enjoy his golden years surrounded by comfort, companionship and plenty of toys.

We're looking for:

- 🏡 A loving home with adults only or teenagers aged 14 and over

- People with dog experience who will appreciate his individuality

- A family who enjoys walks and little adventures

- 🧸 A generous supply of toys, preferably with a toy box of his very own!

- People who will respect his preferences around handling and personal space

- A home where his walks can be enjoyable without unwanted approaches from off-lead dogs

- Plenty of affection, comfort and companionship

- A family who will treasure him for exactly who he is.

There's something incredibly touching about Pele's happiness. He has every reason to have lost his enthusiasm for life, but instead he greets each day with that wonderfully funny face and an eagerness to enjoy whatever comes next.

Pele isn't asking for the world. Just a comfortable place to rest, people to love, enjoyable walks, a collection of treasured toys and the freedom to be his wonderful little self.

We would love nothing more than to see him spend his golden years in a home where every day is filled with the little things that make him happy.
