About Filo

Filo is a gorgeous young Shepherd x Hound mix currently settling beautifully into foster care in Rotherham while he searches for his forever family.

Since arriving in foster, this handsome boy has adapted brilliantly to home life and is already showing what an intelligent, affectionate, and rewarding companion he is going to become. He has quickly picked up routines, enjoys learning, and absolutely thrives when given structure, enrichment, and guidance.

Still very much a youngster, Filo has all the playful enthusiasm and goofy charm you would expect at his age, balanced with a lovely affectionate side that enjoys curling up beside his people after a busy day.

Filo is a very clever, food-motivated boy who genuinely enjoys training and learning new things. He is eager to please, highly trainable, and would thrive with adopters who are excited to continue investing time into his development and confidence building.

He loves his walks and enjoys exploring woodland paths and open spaces, happily taking in the world around him. He also has a fun-loving side and particularly enjoys splashing around in the paddling pool, relaxing in the garden, or settling down with a Kong or Lickimat after exercise.

In the home, Filo has been brilliant. He is crate trained, sleeps well overnight, and has integrated wonderfully into foster life. He gets on well with the resident dogs and enjoys having canine companionship around him.

As a young Shepherd x Hound mix, Filo will continue to benefit from ongoing lead work, training, enrichment, and consistent guidance, but he is already showing more and more every day what an amazing companion he is going to become.
