About Nova

Meet Nova, a sweet and affectionate companion who is looking for a loving new home through no fault of her own, as her owner’s health prevents them from giving her the care she needs. Nova absolutely adores people, thrives on company, and will happily snuggle up at the foot of your bed to sleep at night. While she can be a little cautious around men at first and may bark to voice her uncertainty, she warms up quickly once she feels secure and comfortable in their presence. When it comes to exercise, Nova enjoys going out for walks, though she definitely has a lazy side and will clear cut let you know when she has decided walk time is over. She prefers quieter routes, as busy environments can make her feel anxious. Nova needs to be the only dog in her new home, as she tends to guard her toys from other canines, however, she shows zero resource guarding with people and is gentle with her human friends. Additionally, due to a previous injury, she is a bit sensitive around her tail area and prefers to be handled gently there. Nova is a loyal, loving soul who will make a wonderful, devoted shadow for a quiet home looking for a soft-hearted, laid-back dog.
