Meet Poppy, a gentle 14-year-old Havanese who is looking for a peaceful retirement home due to her current owner’s declining health. Poppy has spent ten wonderful, loving years in her home, making her a deeply loyal and cherished companion. She is a very affectionate girl who thrives on company, adores being showered with attention, and will happily shower you with love in return. As a senior lady, Poppy appreciates a predictable, tranquil routine. She is a sweet, well behaved dog who walks beautifully on her lead and enjoys her routine excursions with her daily dog walker. Because she is easily startled, she requires a quiet, adult only home environment. She gets very nervous around small children, loud noises, fireworks, car rides, and visits to the vet or groomer. When she feels scared, Poppy simply shakes and seeks comfort, she never displays any bad behaviour or aggression, showing just how sweet natured she truly is. Poppy manages Irritable Bowel Syndrome with a simple steroid medication taken every other day, which she accepts eagerly without any fuss, Holly Hedge do cover pre-existing conditions. What she needs most right now is a patient, tender hearted owner who is home often to offer her the cosy lap, steady companionship, and serene environment she deserves in her golden years.
