Meet David, a loyal, gentle, and utterly sweet companion looking for his forever home. Indoors, David is the ultimate relaxed pup who loves nothing more than snoozing the day away, happily keeping you company as your quiet, devoted shadow without ever being overly demanding. His heart belongs to food, he is a whiz at puzzle toys and practically glows with pride when mastering new training cues for a tasty reward. Once you clip on his leash, his excitable, cheeky personality truly shines. Whether you are up for a multi-hour hike or a simple one-hour daily stroll, he adapts wonderfully to your routine and enjoys lively group walks with dogs he already knows and trusts. David’s ideal home will be one without cats, as his intense chase drive means feline housemates are a strict no go. Outdoors, he finds passing or unfamiliar dogs very stressful, when he cannot greet them or feels cornered by an approaching dog, he reacts out of frustration and uncertainty with barking. Because of this, he thrives best in an environment where he isn’t forced into head-on meetings with new dogs or overeager strangers. While he might give a quick, single bark when meeting new people, he settles down quickly if given space to take things at his own pace. With an understanding, patient adopter who can manage his leash reactions and let him set the tempo for new introductions, David will be the most loving and rewarding addition to the family.
