About Izzy

Good on Lead · No Under 5's · Not Cat Tested · Secure Garden Needed

Izzy is looking for her happy ever after! This lovely lady came to us from the stray pound where her future was uncertain so we can't wait to find her a home where she can finally put her paws up and enjoy the life she deserves.

When Izzy first arrived she had a worrying lump in her mouth, we got her up to the vets and they wanted removed ASAP. After some grueling days of waiting and worrying, we finally received the fabulous news that the lump was just an aggravated ulcer! Izzy was given the all clear, she has now healed and is ready to put all of that behind her and start her next chapter.

On the lead, Izzy is an absolute dream! She walks beautifully by your side, rarely pulling and happily pottering along, simply enjoying her time out with you. She's the perfect little walking companion for anyone who enjoys a leisurely stroll with a lovely four-legged friend beside them.

On the whole, Izzy is a pretty calm girl, but she does have her excitable moments too! The more excited you get with her, the more she reciprocates, and when that excitement gets the better of her, she can become mouthy. However, she's very easy to calm back down, and there really isn't a bad bone in this girl's body. She's simply full of enthusiasm, happiness and a very waggy tail!

Izzy has been walked alongside other dogs and has been absolutely golden. In fact, she's largely been quite happy to ignore their existence and potter along doing her own thing! That said, we feel this older lady would be happiest as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love, fuss and attention for herself. After all, she's an older girl who deserves to be thoroughly spoilt!

Sadly, Izzy is really struggling with kennel life, and she's certainly not afraid to let us know about it! The longer she stays with us, the more unhappy she's becoming, and it breaks our hearts to see her feeling this way. We desperately want her to experience the comforts of home life again, with a cosy bed to snooze on, lovely walks to look forward to and a family who will adore her just as much as she'll adore them.
