About Jolene

Beautiful girl Jolene found herself in the pound and remained unclaimed, but then Foal Farm offered her a rescue space so we can find her a new loving home.

As Jolene has come from the pound, we have no idea what her previous life has been like. Jo can be a little shy at times, particularly in new situations but overall she is a very friendly, sweet and playful girl. Jo loves to climb all over you for a cuddle and will nudge you for more if you think you are allowed to stop stroking her!

In true Terrier style, she is a lively girl. She adores her toys and will show off with them running around her kennel. On arrival she was reacting towards some of the animals on the farm, perhaps because she has never seen them before, but this has settled down already.

When meeting other dogs Jolene can be vocal, but given the chance to say hello, all she wants to do is make friends and play. Jolene does need some guidance with socialisation and learning how to be calm around others. We feel she does have the potential to live alongside another male dog, pending introductions at Foal.

During Jolene’s assessment she was very worried when she saw the TV, broom and hoover. She also froze when she was on the sofa, we feel that she has probably never lived in a home before. We are therefore seeking a family who will be patient with her as she adapts to a new life. Jolene is going to require basic training, as we feel she has never had that before. Toilet training may be required as well as gentle exposure to the real world.

Jolene could live with a family where there are older children who understand not to overwhelm a dog, especially as everything is going to be so new for her. Given time, patience and training, Jolene will be the perfect companion! She has so much love to give back and will make you laugh with her cheeky ways.
