About Meadow

A cheeky chap with a heart of gold!

Meadow is a real sweetheart with an occasional cheeky side! He walks great on the lead and really enjoys a run off lead in our fully secure paddock. We have found him to be gentle and calm when meeting new people and feel he is ready for the next step in his journey. Meadow has come so far since he has came into us and he would need someone who is patient understanding with his training going forward. Teaching him that the world is not as scary as he believes it to be. Any potential new homes would have experience in large breeds and ideally have some knowledge in under socialised dogs, also with the time and patience to bring this lovely lad up to what we know his full potential could be. Any potential homes will need to be extremely patient and understanding with their training going forward.

Re-homing Criteria – Any potential adopters of Meadow must be prepared to regularly visit the centre an amount of times to develop a bond however long that would take, so please keep this in mind when applying especially if you are not local to the centre. We believe him to have only lived in a multi dog, kennel situation with little social interaction from people. He would benefit from a confident, well socialised, neutered dog in the house. The improvement in this boy since being with us is nothing short of amazing, but there is still a long road ahead and any adopters would need to be extremely patient and understanding going forward with his training. We will could consider homes with older sensible teenagers, but we would not be looking to rehome him where there are cats. A home where someone is around most of the time is important, and we are looking for very quiet homes and locations as they would not cope in a busy environment. A totally secure garden is essential with solid fencing so he has a safe area that he can enjoy off lead zoomies and also to aid in his training. When completing the Homefinding Questionnaire, please give as much information as possible on your experience and circumstances. Meadow has come on leaps and bounds since coming to the centre, but any potential adopters will need to understand that leaving us to go off to a new enviroment will be scary at first so a patient home is essential. The reward any potential adopter would get when Meadow finally realises he is home would be second to none!

History – Meadow came to us as an unclaimed stray.
