About 'Sup & I'm Pearl
Hey! My name is Pearl and and I’m an adorable, great big brown-eyed, pink-nosed, reddish tan Mastiff cross, with a very sweet and very energetic personality. She came to us as a stray with a microchip but no one came forward to collect her so she is looking for a new start.
Pearl loves playing with squeaky toys or a ball. She loves to greet people, so much so she can be a bit full of herself and jump up on people. She can also forget her large size and try and sit in your lap. Because she is big and strong, she will need someone to be able to physically handle her leash and work on her training. She is very smart and has been learning new tricks such as “touch” and “find it.” She loves treat based games, however, her treat intake has to be kept a minimum while while looses a little weight. She also loves a good splash in water. Speaking of splashing in water, Pearl’s new adopter will need to like a little water as well, Pearl is a bit slobbery.
Pearl’s ideal home needs a private garden to allow her to exercise. She is a little overweight currently and will need short frequent walks to help her not wear herself out while she is carrying extra weight. It is important that Pearl maintain a healthy weight so she can live her best life. She has been excited to meet other dogs, but unfortunately she needs to be the only dog at home. The home also needs to be cat free. A home with young people aged 16+ would be best, although a home with young people aged 12-14+ could be considered for the right match. Previous experience with large dog breeds would be preferrable and someone who can physically handle her on a lead is a must.
Is your heart and home big enough for this big brown-eyed girl? Do have the muscles and the time to train this big, goofy gal? Then we’d love for you to meet!
