About Bourbon
Bourbon arrived in our care alongside her mum and littermates after being found as strays. Unfortunately, we have no background information about her, but it is clear that she has had very little socialisation with people and is still quite timid and unsure.
Bourbon has recently spent five days in foster care with a member of staff, where she has started to show her lovely, affectionate side. Once she feels comfortable, she enjoys sitting on your knee, having gentle cuddles and chin strokes, and will happily relax and purr. However, she is still very fearful when initially approached or picked up, so a slow, gentle approach is essential. She has also started playing with toys independently but has yet to gain the confidence to interact with rod toys.
Bourbon is looking for an experienced, patient owner who can give her plenty of time to build her confidence and trust. A quiet, settled home would suit her best, as loud noises and a busy household may overwhelm her and cause her to retreat and hide. With patience, understanding and gentle encouragement, we hope Bourbon will continue to grow in confidence and show more of her affectionate personality.
