About Socks
Socks is a very nervous and timid boy who came into us as a stray, so unfortunately we don’t have any background information about his life before arriving at the Centre.
He is looking for an experienced cat owner who will be extremely patient and understanding of his needs. Socks may take a long time to settle and build his confidence in a new home, and his new owner will need to accept that he may never become a lap cat.
We are beginning to see some lovely progress with Socks. He is showing signs that he enjoys gentle strokes around his head and, when given plenty of time and space, he gradually relaxes and becomes more affectionate. A slow, calm and patient approach will be really important in helping Socks feel safe and secure and allowing his confidence to grow at his own pace.
