About Velvet
Good day dear friends, I am the luscious Velvet. I was bought into branch care due to a change in my owners circumstances.
I am a very sweet lady, who loves to loaf in the sun. I am an extremely sweet natured and will thrive in a calm kind environment. I love to play, especially with a ribbon and to roll in cat nip. I am always hungry, ALWAYS! You might think you have fed me, but I guarantee you haven't! I love attention, and will come to you for a fuss and then take myself off for a nap once I am done, however I hate being picked up and overly handled. I will be timid to begin with, but just respect my boundaries and persevere with kindness, eventually I will become a very loving, sweet natured friend. Once I am settled, I am likely to become quite vocal and will communicate a lot with you, especially for food!
Once I have settled in to my new home I will need access to the outdoors so I can explore and sunbathe properly! I have not lived with other cats, dogs or children, but I was okay with seeing other cats in the cattery and with proper, carful introductions I might be okay with a dog or calm, sensible children.
When I came into care I had a mouth infection so I had a dental and some teeth extracted. I also had a lump under my left elbow which was removed. I have been spayed, microchipped, tested for FIV/Felv, which came back negative, I am vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatment. I am currently on a sensitive diet and my new owners will need to keep me on this ongoing, as otherwise I have vomiting and Diarrhoea! Otherwise the vets has given me the all clear to be rehomed.
If you have space in your life for a sweet older cat then please fill out an enquiry form.
