About Colin
This sweet young boy is just 14 months old and is finding the cattery environment a little difficult to cope with. He is currently spending much of his time tucked away in a safe hiding spot, so we are taking things slowly and allowing him the quiet, space and patience he needs to begin feeling more comfortable.
We don’t know a great deal about his early life, but he is believed to be friendly with people. As he starts to feel more secure, we hope he will gradually become more confident and show us more of his character. At the moment, he can be difficult to get to know, so his new family will need to be prepared to give him time to settle and accept that he may take a while to show his true personality.
He is looking for a calm, peaceful home with kind and patient owners who understand that building trust cannot be rushed. He will need people who are happy to let him approach them in his own time, without expecting too much of him too soon. An adult-only household would be best, although a home with a quiet, considerate teenager may also be suitable. He would prefer to be the only pet, allowing him to settle without the added pressure of sharing his home with other animals.
When he is ready to explore outside, access to a shed or garage where he can take shelter would be a lovely bonus, particularly if he enjoys spending time outdoors.
Although he may need a little extra time and understanding to settle in, this young boy deserves the chance to grow in confidence in a home where he feels safe and secure. With a gentle approach and a family willing to let him find his feet at his own pace, we hope he will gradually come out of his shell and discover the joys of home life.
