Their cats live with foster carers or in boarding, so you meet Blackie after applying rather than by visiting.
About Blackie
Matching: Has been indoor / outdoor so far in life (possibly suited for an indoor home so long as she gets plenty of stimulation and some good window spots!); Needs ongoing brushing (doesn’t clean coat as much as in the past)
A Gentle, Affectionate Companion (cat, dog and kid-friendly)
Blackie is a sociable girl who enjoys being where the people are. She’s generally relaxed and adaptable, comfortable in both quiet and busier homes, and likes having company without needing constant attention. She can be a little cautious at first, but once she feels at home, her affectionate personality really shines.
Blackie loves being clapped and will happily cosy up beside you for some affection and companionship. She’s also quite the chatterbox, often greeting you with a little meow when she sees you. It’s one of her most endearing habits, and a lovely way of knowing she’s happy to have you around.
Blackie has spent much of her life in a family home with other animals. She grew up alongside two cats and later lived happily with two Dachshunds and a Labrador. She used to enjoy playing with the dogs in the garden so much that her family joked she was more of a dog than a cat! She has also been around visiting children and is generally gentle and sociable, although she would do best with children who understand how to respect her space and let her approach on her own terms.
Blackie is a lovely, familiar presence who deserves a comfortable home, with people to chat to, a cosy spot beside them and plenty of gentle affection.
