About Woody

Poor Woody has already been abandoned twice in his short life. He was originally found dumped in an open cat carrier, soaked in fox urine in the woods. Woody was then taken in by the finder until they could no longer cope and he was brought up to Foal Farm in March this year.

Woody has been incredibly let down by those that should have cared for him. Despite loving a fuss and wanting to be on your lap, Woody doesn’t know how to express his feelings sometimes and this can lead to him showing a bit of a spicy side. Whatever Woody has been through the past 3 years of his life has contributed massively to his behaviour, and it will take time for him to learn what being safe feels like.

His behaviour, although occasionally spicy, is very manageable and since getting into a routine here, he is doing incredibly well! Woody is an affectionate lad, who is very clever, he loves a treat game and is even learning how to ‘high five’ for a dreamie reward! He is so much fun to spend time with and loves chatting to anybody who will listen!

Woody is looking for an experienced, cat savvy home, that understands he’s had a very turbulent life up until now. We are looking for adopters who are willing to give him the time and patience he deserves, he is a complex lad and it will take time to understand his quirks. Any potential adopters would be fully supported by the cat team in making Woody’s transition into a home as smooth as possible.

He needs a quiet, adult only home, that will allow him to find his feet at a pace he is comfortable with. Woody would need access to a secure garden to explore in once settled and he would need to be kept in at night.
