About Houdini

This handsome boy is Houdini! Houdini got his name as when he came in, he was very scared and managed to escape from his carrier.

After a lot of coaxing, and stressing staff out, he finally went back in. Houdini was initially very shut down, and spent all his time hiding in his carrier- only coming out at night time when he was alone.

Staff worked hard helping him build his confidence, and slowly, but surely, he came around to us.

The breakthrough happened when we finally got to pet him, and he quickly learnt the joys of chin scratches, and now loves getting pets! His confidence has been increasing each day, and he now comes out of his kennel to say hello to the other cats and chase a feather want around.

He is now ready for rehoming. Houdini will need a family who will give him patience to settle into a home, and understand that he might be scared when he first arrives. Due to his nervousness, he would be best going to either an adult only home, or one with children 14+.

He seems to really like other cats, and would benefit from another cat in the home.

He was a stray, so would like to have safe outdoor access once he is fully settled in.
