Animal Rescue & Care

Daphne lives with a foster carer, so you meet Daphne after applying, not at the rescue's address.

Daphne is no longer on Animal Rescue & Care's website. We noticed on 18 October 2026. That usually means they've found a home.

About Daphne

Daphne was born in the home of an 85 year old lady, to a cat she took on as a stray, not realising the cat was pregnant. The elderly owner did noy handle Daphne when she was a young kittens so she arrived in our care rather undersocilaised. However, in the care of an experienced fosterer, Daphne has blossomed and she loves her fosterer and receieing attention. Daphne has been health checked, wormed, fleaed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. She has also been spayed.

FOSTER HOME UPDATE: ‘Daphne has amazed me. When she first arrived with me, she was such a flighty little girl who was very distrustful and really didn’t want to be touched or stroked. But she has completly changed and blossomed into a love bug since her litter mates have gone to their new homes. She now demands attention and affection! I don’t think she would cope with being left all day or long periods because she becomes frantic and clingy when I return after a few hours. She could be paired with a confident and playful friend or even a chilled dog. She is not used to children but might enjoy the attention of teenagers or older children. Daphne is still not used to being picked up but I am working on that. She is a real little character who doesn’t do anything by halves! She is very much a lap cat and is demanding in a lovely way!’
